How we pick
The whole method, in the open. Because "trust us" is not a method.
What we do
1. We read the spec sheet. Dimensions, weights, capacities, and materials come from the product listing or the manufacturer's own documentation. Every guide shows the date its facts were last verified, because specs change and stale facts are wrong facts.
2. We cross most of it off. A shortlist only means something if things get cut. Every cut carries a reason you can check yourself.
3. We tell you who should skip it. Every pick names the person it is wrong for. The sentence that loses a sale is the one that earns your trust.
What we never do
- We never claim to own, use, or have tested a product we haven't. Our recommendations are analysis, not testimonials.
- We never invent star ratings, scores, review counts, or "tested in our lab" stories.
- We never show prices. Prices change hourly and we would rather send you to the current one than show you a stale one.
- We never use countdown timers, fake scarcity, or urgency tricks.
- We never make health claims of any kind.
About our imagery
Product photos on this site come from the manufacturers, because the product you see should be the product you receive. Some illustrative imagery and B-roll is AI-generated, and we label it as such wherever platforms provide a label. What we never do is use AI to fake a person's experience with a product, on this site or anywhere we publish.
How we make money
Affiliate links. When you buy through a link on this site we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Commissions never change a verdict: the cut list is decided before the links are added, and we recommend products from merchants that pay us nothing when they are the right pick.
