Most product recommendations on the internet are performances. Fake five-star ratings, invented testing labs, "I've used this for six months" written by someone who has never touched the product. We think that's broken, and we think the fix is embarrassingly simple: stop pretending.

Shortlist Picks starts with everything in a category, crosses off what doesn't earn its price, and tells you exactly why the survivors survived, who each one is for, and who should skip it. Every specification is sourced and dated. Every page shows its work.

The shortlists

We run one shortlist per category. Our three categories are Organize, Kitchen, and Desk. Every shortlist operates under one hard rule: we never claim experience we don't have. Our authority is the spec sheet, read carefully, sourced and dated on every page.

The promise

If we wouldn't send a specific friend to buy it, it doesn't get shortlisted. And if the honest answer is "you don't need this," that's the answer you'll get.
